Valver vs 205 Mi16??

a local guy has just bought a pug 205 Mi16....what are these like performance wise compared to a 2.0 16v Nova? he seems to think the Pug is quicker but i'm not too sure because they weigh alot more than nova's.

i'm counting down the days to the next time i'm at the 1/4 mile so we can find out for ourselves :twisted:

I *think* the nova would be marginally quicker, wouldnt be much in it tho, i should imagine the mi16 engine would be a lot lighter than an xe, might even them out weight-wise

I hazard a guess at the nova being a quicker 1/4, the pug being quicker around a track..

I know Ian and Ste used to waste Mi16 engined 205's up at york with valvers.

not too sure mate, havnt had a go at one....think the nova would be quicker looking at 1/4 times purely cos the fuckers are so light, lol

getting some work done soon so will be a fair bit quicker than a valver nova........i hope, lol

unfortunately the mi16 would win arround a track and ina streaght line as the engine has more power than the xe. is hell of a lot lighter due to being an ally block and the actual car is lighter too. this time wee loose im afraid :cry: a modifed xe on tbs etc will make more power than a modified mi16 tho as the xe can take more power

I have run against a clio valver at york before that had head work and carbs, iirc it was only runnin mid 15's, but sounded like a bag of spanners. Not running as it should
