I rang up HIC about 3 times, quoting twice on the car I own now, and the 3rd on a 1992 1.2L Merit hatch. All three times they wouldn't quote me, but wouldn't tell me why.

Does anyone have a clue cus it's really pissing me off. Or can I complain saying something along the lines of...

"OI, YOU, HIC, NAAAWWWW, I WANT A QUOTE..."

How old are you? Alot of companies don't insure under 19's

If that's the case, sod 'em. Grab the Yellow Pages and go through all the companies you specialise in young drivers

...Or maybe your surname is Binladin and they're worried you'll drive it into a skyscraper or something

I'm pretty certain HIC dont do under 19s.

Im 19 insured on a GSi with all mods declared, track day cover and break down cover with 9 points for ?912 TPFT. Bargain :!:

Gaz

(try CIS they're good.... www.cis.co.uk & try LV.... www.liverpoolvictoria.co.uk)

Hope this helps.

When i first passed my test i was getting half decent insurance quotes on a 1.4sr at 17. Do you live in a high crime rate area?

Have you tried liverpoolvictoria?

if HIC wont insure you after three times then leave it, try Liverpool Victoria or CIS.

HIC were fine with me at 19 on a modded 1.2 with 2 years NCB, they were the second cheapest place (beat closely by liverpool victoria)..

if they dont give you a quote monday, they aint worth the bother, try elsewhere.

i think insurance companies hate 1.2's they seem to be more to insure than a valver
