It shouldn't matter what others think. This whole thread seems completely shallow. Why would you want approval? It doesn't matter what others think. Atractiveness isn't black and white. No matter what gender and etc, everyone will have varied opinions as to what they find attractive or not. On a scale of 'attractiveness'. And if it's not for approval but just to 'show him off', then is it just a trophy bf you're after?

I don't have a problem with my sexuality and i don't have a problem in forming negative and/or positive opinions on both male OR female physical attractiveness. People can call me gay all they like, it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference to me. Obviously i know what my own sexuality is, and it's not going to change just because someone decides that i must be gay because i wear a particular colour, or say a particular thing.
I find the guy in the main thread to be a poser. The first pic is the only one that seems ok, but the other three you can very clearly see that he's 'in love with himself'. It actually looks like he took them himself. And when people do that, it's for the purpose of showing to others.
I find 'self-love' to be a negative quality in both females and males. Of course i differentiate between high self-esteem and confidence, from actual vanity. People SHOULD find themselves attactive to be able to have confidence and function adequately in society.

The other way round? I would think the guys are being pathetic. If it's between friends and someone wants to show someone a picture of their new bf/gf, for a particular reason (like because they may not get to meet him/her) then it's cool.
I personally have never wanted or felt the need for approval of my gf by anyone but myself (and herself - since i'd like her to be confident and feel good about herself). I would also never refer to my gf as a ''bird''.

And finally, it is more likely that people of the same gender would express opinions which are negative. ESPECIALLY males. Why would someone be gay, if they said that they thought another guy was 'goodlooking'? You would not be saying that YOU find yourself attracted TO them! If you can say that a guy is ugly, then you are forming a negative opinion. To form such an opinion, you must then be able to form a positive opinion too, as you need to have both to be able to make a comparisson. However, i find that it is only females that feel that they can express positive opinions about the same gender without having their sexuality questioned by their peers.

In fact, homophobia and racial stigmata are just pathetic. I can't stand ignorance.
