They are held in by little metal flaps bent over the lines under car, rubber lines will be those use once clips that are gay and will then slide off plastic bits.

I didn't change mine when I put a GSi in 1.2 shell, although the lines were already a good size (8mm? and 6mm?) also buy new hose to connect any line after pump, it's alot easier than to find your car piss*ng fuel everywhere.

If you have any probs send me a pm as I have done the GSi conv 3 weeks ago.

P.S. the filler breather is a right b*stard to reconnect to tank.

not sure if its what you meant but the gte and gsi lines aren't held on by bend over clips.

as for 6+8mm pipes, the metal fuel lines on the MPi's are the same bore, and I know many people on here will say not to bother, but your best off using the metal fuel lines unless your running proper hose inside the car.
