do you mean something like a high pass filter? They are a feature on most amps these days. If you have a sub, yes use one.

A Bass blocker will just be a High pass filter (as stated above)

if u run subs then i spose it might be interesting to see how it works, one of my mates has 2 subs runing off an amp (obviously on a LPF) and 4 6x9's running off another amp, he runs 2 of the 6x9's on Full filter and 2 on HPF and it does sound good, gives more distinguishment between the high, mid and low.

i'm not sure if it'd sound soo good with just 1 set of 6x9's on a HPF and a sub on a LPF cos unless you managed to cross the frequencies over so they overlap, you'd be missing alot of mid.

the bass that 6x9's make has an altogether different sound that the bass that a sub makes. it's nice to have both

lmfao.
If he has a full filter on(if one was made lol), it would block ALL sounds

A high pass filter allows high tones through
a low pass filter lets bass through.

Having no filter lets everything through.

There is no such thing as a full filter-just dont connect the speaker up and you will get the same silent result lmao.
