You can get (crappy) universal sub frames which need drilling to the floor.

I would weld the nova frames onto the seat, as even the 'tailored' sub frames arent great.

Agreed, had them for my Sparcos and they were crap so made up custom ones.

dont mind drilling the floor to fit the subframes as long as its safe.

the seats seem a bit too skinny to be attached to the nova frames. anyone got any ideas?

if you decide to drill holes, you need to reinforce them by adding a strip of steel (etc) to where the bolts go through the floor.

I have seen the holes go oval shaped within a few weeks!

i'm now just thinkin about taking my sr seat framesa and cobra seats to a welder and seeing if they'll do anythin with it. Phoned around a few places yesterday and cobra frames are well expensive!!!

drivers in glasgow wanted ?88.90 PER frame

halfords was ?67-69 per frame

where was that from?

still talking about ?100 + though inc VAT + p&p then need to get floor welded where the holes where drilled.

i'll see how much a welde would charge to do it first just so i can keep the original frames

I just welded some brackets on to the nova sub frames when i had buckets that way they still slid backwards and forwards.

i've fitted the grp a setup... with box sections welded onto the floor with captive nuts in them.... sliding buckets are pointless

here here.

if your going for buckets you may as well get rid of the back seats too. unless you get recliners which in my view are not buckets just bling standard seats.
as you said that you have cobras the universal sub frame is crap and anythig but safe. when my car was written off from behind they bent like a crisp packet. ive welded box section accross from the inner sill to the tunnel as ste has.

this pic kinda shows them if you look hard enough

i dont have back seatsin the car. dont mind the seats being fixed however i dont have the skill to do what you and ste have done correctly.

i have taken the runners off my standard nova frames and am goin to go to garage/welders 2morrow to se if they can fix the seats onto the bare frame sumhow.

i've not done that!

mine go front to back like the standard ones... then the seat frames bolt to them

you've done them like this???
