XE driveshaft question

i know i need mk2 cavalier 1600 inners, just phoned to get sum and was told they dont list um, they said they might come complete as a shaft and are 170 quid each!!

how much did you guys pay and where from?

15 quid for the whole shaft from my local scrappy. job done :D

can u not fit gte 22 spline shafts instead :?

youve gotta put the cavvy inner cv's on to the 22 spline shafts there the only ones that fit togher and the 22 splined shafts are quite hard to get as you jus cant buy em ,as vauxhall made two types of shafts ones with 22 splines and ones with i believe 32 splines so basically you have gotta get hold of a load of gte shafts and take off the inner cv's and count the splines till you get a set of 22 splined shafts as its the only way to tell the difference. Then go to your local parts dealer and get a set of cavvy mk2 1600 inner cv's part number TDL3051R should b around 90 quid for the pair new or buy em second hand. then wak em together and youv got a set of modded shafts. a bit long winded i know but ive jus done it i had to check 3 sets till i got lucky it helps if you have alot of spares.and i fink they are only on gte and gsi shafts.
