Lads,
Right, I think I`ve got just about everyone on this list who has shown an
interest in taking part at Santa Pod this Sunday!
As u all probably know, this is a rwyb day that we are going to use as an
oportunity to have competition of our own. All of u guys will be split into
classes according to engine capacity. We have a list of everyone and their
car now so we have a fair idea of what to expect, but would be greatful if u
could reply to this post to let us know if u still intend to attend.
Santa Pod is situated on the borders of Northampton, not far from the M1.
For directions and more details see www.santapod.com
If anyone is worried about a long journey and doesn't want to leave at silly
hours in the morning, Billing Aquadrome is not too far away, and offers a
camp site with excellent facilities, and there is even a hotel at the
entrance. Find details at www.aquadrome.co.uk
TOTAL VAUXHALL are going to be attending the event, and will be providing
prizes of free subscription for one year to the winner of each class. They
have said they will turn up to cover events regardless of the weather, so
things will still go ahead even if its raining. They have the facility to
dry the track at Santa Pod!
Gates open at 08:00hrs and I would strongly recomend that u get there as
close to that time as possible, as The track action is limited to 200
runners of which we are taking up nearly 50 places, and there is a good
possibility that it will be sold out quickly. Entry is ?8 per person, and
then for a fee of a further ?10 u get access to the track and should hope to
have 5+ runs.
Once at Santa Pod, come and find us. I will be the good looking one with
the white SR with grey rims and lairy red mud flaps. I will try to make it
obvious by putting a sign up. We will be recording times and sorting people
into order but u will need to show your timing slip to avoid bull**ting!
There will also be some forms provided so that car details and mods can be
recorded and passed on to Total Vauxhall for their report. Everyone is
welcome, no matter what engine size or level of mods!
WARNING - You must have the following or u will not drive;
1. A roadworthy car
2. YOUR DRIVING LICENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. If u are going over 100mph (not many of us will) u need to use a helmet.
I will be sending a out a full list v.soon, and posting up details on
www.novaload.net, but if u have any questions do not hesitate to contact me
at mc@novaload.net or Ian at ian@novaload.net.
