My Car

Well as you may know, I've been fitting the twin carbs to it. And you also may know, that they're not the quitest items in the world. :lol:

Took it for a spin round the block, and its not running right.

Got back and started it up to see if it was smoking. It didnt, which is a good thing. :D So i still don't knwo whats wrong with it, got no power and runs like a dog? Anyone got any ideas?

Then, i was standing with my best mate's brother, he's 14. He was by the passenger door, and i was behind the drivers door by the ignition, door was open. The next thing I know a massive 4x4 comes flying round the T-Junction opposite my house, without even braking, and ploughs into my car... :cry:

I had to jump out the way of it, and so did my best mates brother. I cant explain for words how close he was to getting hit, a foot away, if that! :o

My car shunted back about 5/6 Feet with the handrbake on...

The amazing thing is, that he had a row with my old man and neighbours, then just walked off. Police were called, took a load of measurements, some statements etc etc.

And the bastid who did it has got til the end of the week to hand himself in2 the police before theres a warrant out for his arrest.

He lives across the road from me, and to put it mildly none of my neighbours are best pleased with him, the speed he hit my car would have resulted in slightly more than 2 broken legs... :o :o

Had it been 30 seconds earlier, me and my mates lil bro would have been crushed coz we were lookin in the engine bay.

Mate you're very lucky, glad you're both ok - I know how these things can go. :x

The car doesn't look good but it can be fixed, the main thing is you and your mates brother are alright. No concollation I know when you put all that work into your pride and joy.

Same thing happenned to my best mate few years back.. he was under the bonnet doing something in the engine bay and his mrs was behind him watching. Corsa hit the car from behind, moved it about 10 metres. Both of them were knocked out and required stitches etc but nothing major.

Wing on PS, which has dose skirts smoothed into rear 1/4 (repaint whole side...)

I think they are going to end up saying its not worth repairing it and writing it off. :(

youve got no "reason" to sue him.

any anyway DONT try to get more than you really need as its just going to push others insurance up. yeah you might think that the odd one or two wont make any diff. but if we all stopped screwing eachother over then insurance might just come down!!!!
