1.3 bottom end

I got a 1.3 running a ast2 cam, twins 40's ported polished etc. but i'm only getting 95bhp at the flywheel and 78 bhp at wheels after a rolling road tune.

The bottom end has just done 90k miles and think this sapping the power as i'm not getting high enough compresion. i've done all the work myslef so far but not sure how much of a bottom end rebuild you can do yourself as money is very tight at the mo.

thats about right tbh with those mods - oxford is running 138bhp on similar mods on a 1650cc engine some maths shows that:

1300/1650*138 = 108bhp

so your about 13bhp short assuming your head is a B+ - if its just a standard polish job then its prolly spot on

maybe a decent zorst and manifold will help out a bit if u havent already

i've got a 1400 with a sri head and t40's and got 92bhp, make of that what you will.
