hey guys what needs doing to drop a 2litre 16v into a 1.2 merit would it be the same as dropping it into a gte shell ?

as far as i know u have to stich weld the engine bay to stregthen it
and uprate engine mounts and us a hammer to get the alternator to fit

theres a few lads on here who'll tell u more as they do loads

Its about the same as the gte plus you have fit the fuel pump, you can fit it to the carb tank or change it to the gte's tank.
All the linkage and mounts are the same fittings on 1.2's and gte's.

you can but the fuel pump in the engine, not a very good idea but its what i have done until i get carbs

cheers guys coz I have 2 novas a 1.2i merit plus the blue mettalic and a red gte but the gte is fucked underneath only last a year or so, so I was just wonder about doing everything to the 1.2 :D better colour

1.2i already has the correct tank etc- simply swap the 1.2i pump for a corsa 1.4 or 1.6 pump or possibly one from a cav may fit
