mk 1 dials

right, im going to get white dials soon and was woundering how the mk 1 clocks come out. i now the mk 2 had bolts on the dash but carnt find any thing like that on the mk 1.

or do you just ram a screw driver down the side and hope it comes out?

-Disconnect battery negative terminal
-Carefully prise up underside of instrument panel and pull lower part away from facia
-Release panel upper locating catches and ease the panel away from the facia sufficiently to gain access to the speedometer cable, and release speedometer cable
-Release multiplug connector
-Remove instrument panel
-Refitting is reverse sequence to removal :lol:

push the top of the clocks in an they should pop out of place, try an disconnect the speedo an cables from behide( you will lose quite at lot of skin on your hand doing this) then the should come out. Its not that easy but you work it out once they are half out :D
