Rusty arch... what to do?

How come all the feature cars have immaculate arches? mine aren't!! how do I get them smooth again... after rust attack and some botch job to repaint them with a brush! (not done by me)... I have heard you can get new pieces welded on.. is this true?

phone any car body shop and they will have your car for a day or two, and cut out your old arches and weld new ones in. Respray and tint the paint so that it matches. It cost me ?100 inc vat to have one done but that was also including the unique paint colour, if you use fatory paint colour the job will be cheaper. At the same time have your arches rolled for bigger alloys at a later stage. Guess what I FORGOT! Doh!

I know someone who got there arches done for ?50 it was a realy good job and worth doing
