View Full Version : Stripped insides
Hi all,
I want to remove the rear trim as all it does is rattle and wobble around.
Anyone done this and can post a few pics to show us all?
P.S. If I remove the rear stuff it's gonna be alot noisier, any way of quitening it down a bit.

As you can see i have sanded down the inside ready for painting to to make it that bit cleaner
if you take stuff out the back its gonna be very noisy, i cant talk to the person next to me when im driving its that loud.

i think so, long trips down the m1 arent pleasnt apart from the odd porshe to play with due to stupidly loud car

r u not gonna carpet it over at least? cos just painted metal aint that nice, if u trim it all u cud put sound deadening (dynamat) underneath ur material.

carpet is extra weight, an thats why i am taking out all the sound deading as well
fully stripped and sprayed up looks dead sexy

I dunno about painted metal not looking nice, I'm quite happy with mine:

Also, putting carpet or sound deadening down is adding weight and most people want to lose as much weight as possible, hence stripping out the car :)

Jim that looks amazing. I know how hard it is to get a perfect inside paint job but yours is something else! Top work :D
Cheers Al. Just so you lot know, I didn't do the work, lol (wish I could). It was all courtesy of a bodyshop. I shall get more pics up as soon as the car is roadworthy and back home. It needs a dam good clean at the minute, it's filthy :(

Still looks fab mate! I have an absolute nightmare keeping mine clean as I drive it most days. At least with carpet it disguises the dirt somewhat! Can't wait to see more pics!
