i have a GTE and i'm replacing the calipers coz i can get them cheap.

I was under the impression that there are two types of calipers and the caliper meant for the MK2 is slightly better. Now i know one is a delko caliper but which is which.

Will it actually make a difference to performance?? I already have some RED DOT pads and disks to go on.

Any information would be great.

Mk1 = AC Delco Calipers = Wank
Mk2 up to 1992 = AC Delco = Wank
Mk2 from 1992 = ATE Calipers = not so wank.

AC pads wont fit ATE calipers though. Just get Astra GTE calipers etc if youre buying new.

hmmmmmmmmm, so what your saying is there all w**k???

I dont think i wanna go down the astra gte route so if the pads that i have are to fit a GTE then they aint gonna go on anything other than the delco calipers????

The beauty is though that the Delco pads for a Nova also fit larger Delco calipers from Astras etc. I run 2.0 8v (AC Delco) Calipers and 258mm discs using EBC Greenstuff Nova Pads, same type as yours. In the long run you're better off upgrading to larger calipers as the noral ones really are useless in comparison.
