Ste,
What kinda work do u do, is it body or engine, or both??

And where u based?

I am getting body stuff sorted out at the moment, and was thinking of getting the engine mods done too... how far I go depends on how much work/time/wonga is involved...
got a GSi.

Don't search, just YELL.com !! :>

Anybody want to advertise their business website??

Ok,
I have a standard GSi, and I am looking to do up my engine right now.
I was thinking of getting an FSE power boost valve, K n' N Panel Filter, and a Kent Cam.
...but the cam would be for an 8v, and would need changing when I get a bigger engine, or change to a 16v ?

Basically, what mods can I do now that I could still keep when I uprate my engine to say a 2 litre 16v ?

Also, Courtenay suggest different dampers are needed for a normal engine and a heavier 2 litre ... is this really necessary?
(cos I was gonna get normal Bilstein Sprintlines)

ste, i might be buying a MOT failure nova GTE for about ?200, then swapping the engine and box over to a 1.2i...and also having the interior.

would u be interested in doing the conversion, and also aquiring a nova GTE with all bodykit, shell, brakes etc etc ???

i'd sort u out for doing the conversion, and u could also have the GTE (minus the engine and box)

nothing is certain yet...just thought i'd let u have a think about it

doing swaps if you have the whole car
as for buying parts you are better off planning ahead... if u are going to get a 2.0 16v then only by parts that will transfer over (and with the engine it is 0%) so spend the money on upration brakes/syspension etc ready for the conversion
as for the springs yes the different rates are better

Ok, suspension stuff is sorted. Courtenay just told me to buy the normal Bilstein sprintline kit for now, and then when I do the conversion simply buy the front stiffer springs (?88.12 pair) ...works out cheaper.

I already have Astra 16v calipers, was going to get Black Diamonds x-drilled/grooved discs up front.

And a Jetex exhaust, or a Mongoose.

I'm thinking now instead of doing mods to my 8v, putting that money towards a bigger engine? whats the cost on conversions??

How far do u go with mods, that is the question ... :-/

engines from ?200 for a shitter
or ?500 for a good un
or ?650 ish for a whole astra (u get to drive it and u have front/rear breaks etc etc

?50 for mount kit
?130 for cheapest shaft solution
diy exhaust
