Hi all,

I've been driving my 1.2 for a few months now, and to be honest, I really dont think it's running quite right...

It does pull away and idle ok (if a little too high at 1000rpm) but I think its using more fuel than it should???

Basically, if I put a tenner in, with a bit left in the tank, and the needle indicates half a tank, it will only last me doing a 17 mile round trip (through town) about 6 - 7 times plus a bit of running around to get some food shopping etc..

But probably nothing over 100 miles.

Would you say this is ok for a 1.2 thats done 46k (carb) ?

help appreciated

Sounds like it could be using a little more than normal but doesnt sound to bad, When diving around town it is going to use more than on a decent journey, If you getting about 100 mile around town it means you'll probably get around 115 to 120 on a run.

7 times 17 is 119. Plus your running around, brings it up even more.

I'd say that is running fine. Anything between 115 and 130 is good

i'd love to get that many miles from a tenner

100-120miles of a tenner seems decent.

you can't really say if its bad with flimsy information like that.

To measure it... fill your tank right up and set clock to 0. wait till you go into the red (to get the best average) then fill up again and read how many miles you done off the clock and how many litres you put into the tank.

then do the following sum..

M= miles
L=litres

M/(L/4.55)
