Ok, my girlfriend is expecting, so I need to get a new car, I don't fancy driving my baby around in a modded 3 door, with lowered susp e.t.c.... I won't bother saying wot car I have rite now 'cos it's not a nova :o
So wot car do i buy now? I have until January 16th when she pops out!! I was thinking Cav SRi, still a sporty 5 door, with a nice 130 brake engine, or maybe a Orion 1.8 Ghia 16V.... Wot y'all reckon??

Cav Sri. My dad had one for a while and there surprisingly quick. Personnaly I'd go for a Mk 3 Astra Gsi. Looks good, goes well, and theres room for the baby seat. Good luck on becoming a father, get your sleep in now, you won't get any when the baby arrives.

Doh! Cheers for that Fenix - git! ;) but still, theres more leg room in the back of an Astra than there is in a Nova. Also, I think the baby seat would be placed in the front as I don't think they came with passenger airbags (don't quote me on that).

You're right there is no pass airbags. In fact, no airbags at all on early ones. As for sporty 5 doors you could always import a Astra 200TS from south africa. Gsi style bodykit, 5 door and Turbo'd :D

you ain't gonna be able to afford to mod it once you have to start paying for nappies an dclothes and prams and clothes etc etc.

Get something that will look o.k on a very small budget !

I think u get an Astra SRi in 5 door....
Then again, as long as it didn't look to "boy-racerish" I mite consider a 3 door....
And while I have all ur attention, any ideas for names?? My bird is hopeles wi names...
I was thinking: Girl - Caitlin

Caitlin is nice for a girl, but not to sure on Todd. How about James? hehe ;) I think the name is something you and your girlfriend should decide.

Then again....... Why would I need a fast car? I'll be calming down now......
I was thinking a L or M plate Gold, not a GTi, but maybe a driver (I'm looking at 1 out the window) or summit, and a nice set of 16"/17"s.....
And I'm stuck for boy names, I don't like names like Jordan (unless she has massive T.its) cos ever1 seems to be naming boys wi that kind of names......

whats your sir name, you have to take that into consideration when choosing a first name so you don't end up being called something stupid like Annette Curtain, or Paul Backskin.

I'd personally go for something like Jake or Leon. If I have a daughter one day I'm gonna call her Sophie, so her friends will call her "So" for short and her name would be " So Coull " Wicked !

Why not call the kid nova?
its a unisex name - could work for boy and girl and is a nice name...
You could give him/her a middle name of 16v or Nitrous or someting like that.
Go on - Be unique - you know you want to.
