I'm buying a 1300 engine (mine's currently 1200) to tune up, was going to get the bottom end lightened balanced, arp conrod bolts, heavy shell bearings, etc. Any how problem is insurance, as far as i know the bore is the same in the 1200 and 1300 block, will the 1200 block fit the 1300 engine, would it be the same? I read some where that the extra 100cc is made by a longer stroke? Reason i want to know is because i wanted to keep the stamp on my 1200 block for insurance reasons, as my insurance will be already expensive because i've added t40s, 4 branch, exhaust system, polished+ported+skimmed head and kent cam. Would be great if anyone knows about this, as i'm going to buy the engine with in the next week. Cheers

you can use an assortment of vaux parts + a rebore to make the 1200 block into 1400.
