erm i think its possible but i'm not sure that rolling the archs wuold help u might have to flare them slightly, it also depends on whether its a mk1 or mk2 because the mk2s got wider rear arches

you will definately have to roll the arch with 17's and lowered 60mm. If you dont wanna roll the arch your best bet is to get some 15's or 16's with an offset close to ET49

thats what i thought
but 17's look mint
15's or 16's go on no probs with out ne rollin providing the right size tyers are used and the ofset is correct
if its a mk 2 no grinding of the rear arches will be required

No go for 18's with loads of harsh noises that you choose to ignore as if you ignore them they're not there right?

No stereo mate, thats why the big holes in the rear are for! Not to view the exhaust sound but to hear the exhaust drown out the wheels!!

Yes 15's will give better acceleration, but it's only when you start getting serious about acceleration that you need to worry about that.

17's and a 60mm drop will fit. You will be best off getting the lip on all your arches taken off by using a grinder (or getting a bodyshop to do it). Try and get as close to the Vauxhall offset as you can.

Isn't that a whole load of work just to save griding the lip down?

Fair enough, that'd make sense as you have to replace them.
