1.2i performance figures??

does anyone know the performance figures (i.e. 0-60 and top speed) for a 1.2i nova hatch k-reg??

i aint expectin much but i just wanna know for the sake of pub talk!

The 1.2i has got the same power as a 1.0 which is 44bhp.
The 1.0 litre is supposed to do 0-60 in 15 sec and top out at 85mph so the 1.2i should be the same but i'v have 105mph on the clock ov mine.

when i had my 1.2i i got clocked by 96mph which is faster than the book says, still that was as fast as it went

Nah it aint realy, just a back box and drilled air box. but i think the speedo is problem a bit off.

1.2i is supposed to do 89mph but i've seen 105mph aswell. Faster than 1.0 I know a lad with one and was right on his arse for ages

Got mine 1.2 carb to 112 mph, 0-60 never tried, and about 58bhp but with no mods really apart from K&N filter. Getting plenty more mods soon hope to get booset up to 90-100 bhp :twisted:

Standart 1.2 carb has 55bhp according to the manual

Dual webber 40, camshaft, exhaust, ported and polished and replaced valves probably, nothing impossible :twisted:

And 112 was on the flat straight line, but probably with the wind, however at this speed it doesnt metter, but i was following BMW X5, so was drifting behing it :twisted: 8)

I've had (honestly) 112mph out of my 1.2 carb.

Was driving the car to where the 1.6 was being put in so I thought might as well give it some as I'm not too bothered what happens to it. I did have all the interior out (every last bit including dash) and only one seat so it was a little dieted...

i had the 1.2i to 5750rpm in 4th gear down hill with a wind up me arse and that equates to 106mph-ish

the speedo was reading 125

Cambridge are you the one doing the 1200 turbo? I thought about enbarking on a project like this a while ago but I couldnt justify the cost for the predicted power at the end. How far along the project are you?

What sort of power and torque figures are you expecting to achieve? As far as I know (correct me if I am wrong) you are the only person doing a 1200 turbo at the moment...so respect!

My 1.2i did 115mph, down quite a steep hill.. lol The gaskets recently developed a pin hole, letting air into the water system and presurising the system. So i've the head off and its away getting skimmed today, with a new gasket, bolts etc..

Wonder will that make any difference? Probably not much on a 1.2i lmao!

might be worth fitting a 1.2 carb head and matching the 1.2i inlet manifold to the carb one or making up an adaptor plate so the 1.2i throttle body fits on a 1.2 carb inlet because the carb head has much better ports and valves

throw an SR cam in while your there and a decent zorst system and you'll gain a good few ponies
