what would be needed to shoe horn this into a nova or corsa engine bay.

someone i spoke to said you can use a 2.5 v6 bottom end and the gearbox, and the 3.0L head.

Anyone have any ideas.

I've heard that too. Saw one in Max a few years ago, managed to squeeze it in but said it was too heavy and he kept going through front shocks. You looking at getting it done mate?

that was a 2.5 v6 not the 3.0 v6.

doubt i will be doing it to mine. but may change my mind.

Its more than likely going to be in tne next project.

a 3.0 v6 is actually lighter than a 2.5 v6 because of the amount of metal taken off the bores is more than the extra metal on the crank.

the engine would probably be better stuck in the back (clio style) and if you could get the weight distribution and brakes about right would be a lot more fun.

oversteer is a lot more fun than understeer

a little while back they had a corsa b in TV mag with a 3.0 V6 bottom end and a 2.5 head. I know they are easier to drop in corsa's though.

if i was going to be putting in anything more than a 2lt i would make it rear wheel drive. Plus it would be a lot more fun to drive

Strange considering its a lot harder to fit a XE in a Corsa.

i think it should be made arear wheel drive, because iff u keep it front wheel drive won't it break the drive shafts?

Philsutton

could break the driveshafts even if its rear wheel drive depending what rear axle your using an how youve cut it down

its not just the head that makes it a 3.0 by the way. its the block pistons and crank that make that change.
