You need a sandwich plate which goes between the block and the oil filter. You connect 2 pipes to this so that the oil can flow to the cooler (looks like a small radiator) and back again. You need to mount the cooler in front of the normal radiator in a place where it will have air flowing to it..

Hope that helps

there are also sandwich plate coolers that plumb into the existing water cooling system. if you are looking for a good cheap oil cooler, look at astra td in breakers they usually have one fitted. it will need modding but it is proven stuff.

They also come on 2.0 XE / LETs

I'd also like to know where to mount one as I have a new Mocal 7 row rad to go in somewhere, everywhere i try is slightly too small!

Oil take off is usually a plate that goes between the oil filter and block, but on some engines it's different. Nova ones use the Sandwich plate though.
