the intlet manifold on these engines is where all the power is lost, having a look at one we put in a corsa the intake goes all the way round the engine heating it up an its basiclaly a crap design. Best thing to do would be to scrap that completly an go for carbs or throttle bodies if you have the money.

get a look on the SBD website they have everything for these engines and can take them to 285bhp @ 11.000 rpm.

like phil said, cheapest way of replacing inlet is a Mantzel.
