View Full Version : Are speedline alessio's lightweight?Whats the deal with 'em?
As subject says-why are they so good? I know they look sweet but are they lightweight and good for racing? I'm considering some coz normally if i'm racing i'll get my 14" gsi alloys on, but now i've got astra 16v discs and calipers they're not gona fit so was considering speedlines. Any info would be good :D
Mainly the size.
They are 16x6.5 et49 which in theory require no arch modification on a nova.
Your nova gsi alloys will fit with 16v brakes as proved on many occasions!!

Sweet! I havn't got them yet-they're in the post. That'll solve all my problems if they do :D
been trying to get a set of 14" GSi alloys over 16v brakes for 2 weeks, even tried 2x spacers on one side and they still wont go anywhere near them.

they won't fit unless the disk/pads are worn
14" sri steels will fit over 16v brakes just
yeah pretty sure the brakes on the car were rebuilding are brand new, just going to swap them for standard GTE/GSi setup and flog the brakes.
Im pretty sure that the 2.0 16V brakes WONT fit under the GSi wheels.
There are a few different types of caliper if I'm not mistaken, and only one type will fit under because they dont have mouldings that stick outwards away from the engine. If you get what I mean...
I may be totally wrong though.
You need 10mm Spacers Ben..
I have 14" sri steelies over front and rear 16v brakes/disks lol Rear catch very slightly but only have 5mm spacers.
like i said have put 2x 6mm spacers on one side and they wont go near them.
Strange.. a lad up here had a gsi with 16v brakes.. was very close but didn't touch. He said he just used 10mm spacers.
Ben, completely off topic.. but do you have any top tint windscreens in?
LOL Will PM you, need quite a few bits :)

I had to grind my 16v calipers to fit my speedlines. And Now i have to grind my V6 calipers slightly as they just catch the speedline spokes lol
The joys of it all :D
