this is my basic system, pioneer 19cm's 180 in the door cards, infinity 930i 300w in the parcel shelf and a 1400w infinity perfect 12 sub, with a 1000w crunch amp- everytime i turn the headunit on the music starts and then the sub or the speakers power up and makes a loud thud how can i get rid of this.

do you get it about a second after you turn the head unit on??
if this is so then the thud is just the sound of your amp switching on and the sound comes thru your speakers.(especialy your sub). i get it on my system, so dont worry !!! :lol:

yeah i get it everytime i power my speakers up after about 2 seconds

Its just called a power up thats all, Its power going to the speaker and making it move.
Next time you turn your hifi system on touch the speaker and you will see what i mean.
No you cannot stop it from happening, if that thud wasant there then you wouldant be able to play your music.
That thud is a sign that your system is ok and power is reaching your speakers.
