View Full Version : still having problem modding clutch cable(2.0l 16v)

ive been trying to bend the hole out the bulk head today but i just carnt get a bar into bend it ive removed all the sfi box and that but it looks like im going to end up taking the inlet manifold off and theres is no room from the inside do you have to remove the inlet unless i make a special tool hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

i would guess the inlet manifold needs to come off as thats what the clutch cable fouls against afaik

Yep - remove the inlet manifold - If u have a 1/2 inch extension bar from a socket set - the 'large' end should be a perfect fit to slide into the clutch cable hole and bend down and across!!!

lol sod taking inlet off! just get some bar, heat it up and put a bend in it, or cut down a small extension from a socket set and twat it with a hammer :lol: one of them jobs you wish you'd done when the engine was out :lol:

desided to fix my clutch today new clutch cable only cost me ?7 from car spare not bad also bent the hole better and my clutch is so better its top notch

as you can see in the picture the cable was wearing into the metal sleave it would have gone any day soon
