View Full Version : Will an ast2 kent cam for a 1.3 fit a 1.6?
My engine will soon have weber t40's, headwork, bored to 1700 etc etc. The ast2 kent cam is for a 1.3 and has 290 duration-will this work well with the webers or should i go for a 280 duration cam? Ant help appreciated :D
have you asked whoever is setting the engine up for you what they think?
No coz the engine won't be r/r untill 1000miles after the re-build. I think it might be okay with the t40's but i'm not 100% sure-it may be a little bit too much in which case a 280 duration cam may be a safer bet
I'm putting one in a 1.3 with 32/34 weber
so T40's will be no problemo

I've got the AST2 cam in my 1.3 SR with the T40's fitted and it's fine, a little lumpy low down but comes into its own when i hit 3000rpm  it just revs for England.
yes it will fit as kent put all the dizzy drive types in the end of there cams. im using a 1.2 dizzy on my 2.0 8v lol

i got a kent ast2 on a 1300block with a 32/34.
Works well, but T40's will give it even more. They are not over the top at all. Get them setup right and you're well away.
