what is the ultimite setup on a 1.4 carb engine , type of cam , rebore , head skim etc etc

head work, overbore, bottom end rebuild, balanced, lightened.
T40's, Kent or piper fast road cam.
Use a 1.4Sri head, skimmed with enlarged valves and wasted stems, ported. Use twin 40's or TB's, and a 4-branch manifold.
I would suggest a cam of approximately 285 duration, piper do one for twin 40's and the Kent ast2 gets good reviews.
Overbore your bottom end +1mm, and have the crank re-ground whilst your at it. Have the con-rods shot peened and de-seemed, and use ARP bolts.
NOt the ultimate so to speak, but damn good for a road car.
