k&n filter

just bought a k&n air filter from someone, second hand. its not like the bolt on ones, its a silver round one, but the hole underneith for fixing, is not big enough to go onto the carb? where else can it go? the person who i bought it off had it on there nova 1.2, so i know it must be the right one.

Erm that sounds like it's either for a different Car, Model or you've got a Cone filter.

The one for the nova 1.2 Carb should be a rectangle shape with curved shorter sides.

I think i've seen the 1.4 SR bolt on's n they r a round shape ? could be wrong tho

Or you've got a cone and someones had it on their 1.2i as a homemade induction kit or something similar.

What car is yours ? 1.2 Carb or 1.2i ?

Or it's a Crankcase Breather Filter!

All the K&N Bolt on Nova Filters are Oval. Are you sure it's a K&N?

its prolly just a random cone filter for some generic car

which means u cant fit it on

you say its a silver round one, is it still flat with the element round the sides? if so its either for a SU carb (Mini's, Triumph's etc) or an older standard one designed for the plate to be cut to size.

or it may be a random cone one as aragorn said
