does a nova gte lump have a rev limmiter???

on the starter motor theres a thick red wire then a smaller red wire with an eye crimp-where does this one goto??

its going in a corsa but i have lift reverse an the lump is down reverse anyone encountered this before?

whats the best leads to run it on,has been modded

how can you tell the difference between a gsi and gte lump??

thanks james

its not the lump or box that changes the lift or push reverse, its the car linkage so if you leave the corsa linkage in the car then it will stay as a lift.

also the thick red on the starter motor is a permanent live and the other much smaller one is for the starter solenoid which becomes live when you turn the key to the cranking position

the engine is hard cut limited to 6800rpm

just buy some standard bosch leads from halfords - they'll be fine

early GTEs used E16SE with bosch ignition module

rest of the GTE's and most GSI's used E16SE with siemens ignition module

the last (93's mostly) of the GSi's used the C16SE with GM-Delco ECU and ingition unit under glovebox and dispak (although some were still dizzy driven)

u can tell by looking for the airflow meter - C16SE doesnt have one, and the ignition module is clipped onto the rear bulkhead so u can find out which type of E16SE it is
