It's MOT time and i'm saure it';s gonna fail on emissions.
It's burning fuel alot and im getting crap consumption. When the car starts or if i boot it after cruising for a short while or drop it down a gear e.t.c i get a whisp of black smoke brielfy
I parked the car infront of my mums n just gave it some stick (3000 RPM) for a bit, then i looked on the front of my mums car and the bumper had a fair amount of Black liquid over it. It might be oil which could be Stem seals ? but it's not burning through oil, i think it's just prehaps black smoke mixed with water in the exhaust ?
Does this sound like Over Fueling or do i have a more serious problem at hand ?
The carb is blocked n it's running a bit shite so it's booked in to have the carb tuned n cleaned before friday ( as well as a Split CV boot)
Someone else said i need to check my Fuel pump ?
The car shudders n jerks at low revs in every gear indicating carb problems ?
