well i was doin 40 in 4th gear and i went 2 boot it back in 3rd and it went in 1st and now it sounds like a ford fiesta but louder ticking so badly really loud

its a 1litre

may have snapped a rocker or two. take the cam cover off and see waht metal is floating round

if you can put a 1.4 in and afford the insurance, do that...

But 10bhp increase in power with the carb 1.2.
Bin the 1L.
Drop in an SR engine if you can pay the insurance.It is quite a big jump in terms of power, 45bhp of 1L to around 70bhp of either a 1.4SR or 1.3SR engine. Shouldn't cost that much more for insurance.

There was a SR being given away before it was scrapped (Bodywork wasn't very good) Sure it's on NL's Cars for sale or Parts for sale section - It was only a day or two ago that I saw it so it can't be too far away.
