with the astre gte 16v setup what bit's do i need disk's,calipers any help would be appreciated

You need the brakes, calipers. And probably new pads.
You can also use a bigger brake servo from a Nova GSI, don't have to though.

You also need wheels at least 14" to get the calipers under.

cheers,will i have to hack anything up to make then fit or will the bolt straight on?

- you will prob need to bash the backing/dust plates back...just whack them with a hammer and then your sorted

Depending what wheels you have you ay need to grind the caliper body or use spacers. Disc Shield will either need to be removed or just bashed out of the way as Barney says (and as I did)

was looking at getting a set of compomotive mo's or something like that as im gonna use it for trackdays and stuff.

Mine do! 8)

But that was after an hour's grinding and a 5mm spacer though.

you might have to cut off the brake shield but thats easy :lol:

you can unscrew it but the bolts are normally rusted solid so you will need an impact screwdriver

Just bash it out of the way, much less hassle. :D (I like hitting my car with hammers!)

I've not had much success with the impact driver, they're normally too rusty, but the heads are so big you can undo them with mole grips easily
