You won't need any mounts, they are straight swaps. Although for a GSI you will need the petrol tank and lines, and the electric fuel pump.
Is your flair a carb or injection, j-reg i was thinking injection.
The 1.4SR would be easier to do.

it's a carb as far as i know, obviosley i'll have to swap the gearbox as it is only 4 speed but can i use the 1.2 drive shafts with the 1.4sr engine,so that all i have to swap is engine and gearbox?

cheers

A j reg 1.2 on a carb? Does that exist? And it would be a very good idea to put new gte/gsi mounts in because they are stronger than yours and your current ones i would imagine are quite worn-last thing you want with a more powerful engine than what your car was built for is a lot of engine movement :!:

Mine used to be a 1.2 carb until I read your signature LOL

Well actually I bought it as a shell that had a 1.8 in then someone decided to buy it for ?120 and strip it then sell it to me for ?70 with engine and box, I chucked it back together (replaceing SR interior for GSi) and blew the bottom end up.

So now I have a Nova Flair 0cc LOL
