does paint out of a can have to touch a naked flame to catch on fire or can it be just the heat?
is it safe to put paint onto the rad hoses?

Good question, i think it would go up with just heat.
You need the high temperature paint that is made to go on radiator hoses, else it just cracks and flakes off.
