stalks n steeing shroud

how do i get the top steering shriud off the colum, its fvckin impossibe. i cant get it over the ignition barrel! i kno it jus needs to be bent, but ive already broken it a bit tryin, jw if deres an easier way, all i need to do is swap the stalks ova, can it be done wit the top shroud still on?

Er that's about it really. Force. If you got a Mk1 dash, put your fingers underneath the clocks and pull 'em out to allow the dash to flex more. Oh and obviously take the steering wheel off!

It's an arse. I thought I was going to snap mine several times whilst trying to take it off. You just have to fiddle about with it. It'll soon come off.

They do come off just use a bit of force if it breaks there only a feww quid down the scrappy
