theres a different engine noise on my car when the clutch is pushed down, it's a lot louder than usual and doesn't sound to healthy. She does it when shes not even in gear it's just when the clutch is pushed down, she ticks over ok other than that.
Any ideas? :?
Probably the thrust bearing.
Def the thrust bearing! :D
you dont need to replace it until you replace the clutch.
unless you cant stand the noise. then change it. but you may aswell do the clutch whie your at it as the job is essentially the same

had that prob on an old escort i had
yer mine does the same thing, except mine makes a squeeking sound as well. It;s kinda a Whirring sound ?
It's just a ring of bearings , if u take ure clutch off u'l beable to physically see the play in them, cos they rattle if u shake them. It's not a hard job to do, just a matter of whipping your clutch off.

ptob clutch release bearing as said, but it also be the crank thrust bearing whcih may have too much endfloat.
Have seen both.
