Exhaust spluttering like a bitch with 4 cocks!

on my way home this evening, i was stood in traffic for ages (sttod - should have been sat down really i was in my car :-/ ) anyway, when i moved off i heard a clunk and then my exhaust started popping like 4 hard core junkies with liquid gold. So on inspection when i got home, i initially thought well it might not have been popping it could just be a simple bracket has come off and the popping noise was it knocking against the bodywork. But as i started to go under the car (for a nap :D) i found what seemed to be a hole :O. I then saw that this whole was actually a gap where my exhaust had come away from where it was clamped on. But it hadnt come away cos of the looseness of the clamp, it had snapped off, and i dont know what to do :(

For a quick fix im gonna get some exhaust tape tomorrow so i can get to work, but what are my options :-/

i see them as:

1) New back section of the exhaust
2) Standard Exhaust
3) Keep on putting the exhaust tape on
4) Weld

What do you reckon would be the best option, and how much for each.

I know its not a nova, but any help is mucho appreciated :)

well I would say best option is to eplace the lot,but next best and poss a cheaper option is to weld it.Dunno.If the bracket has snapped off the body theres gona be sum weldin needed anyway so why not just get the exhausthole welded hile the guys there.Then worry bout new exaust later??

secondly, sounds like rusted to bits, if you are keeping the car get a stainless one which has lifetime guarantee, and you wont need to buy another one ever.

most stainless steel ones, eg mongoose magnex etc etc
also jp (macclesfield)who will make a custom one, or powerflow, u will prob need a full system.

i have a mongoose stainless full system on mine, cost ?233 4 years ago, last year the baffles collapsed(prob cos of 2 litre) and mongoose replaced the whole system free of charge with no hassle next day.

just had a price on a Timax exhaust middle section and back box for ?149 inc vat and fitting. lmao just phoned me, hahaha it was a standard one, fuck that. i need help peeps where in derby can i get an exhaust fitted that sounds ace looks ace, and is cheap. lol

ok hers the score i have a choice now:

1) Sportex exhaust, 2 years warranty, ?110 + fitting

2) Peco Stainless Steel Powermaster, life time warranty, ?130 inc VAT + Fitting


What do i do. What will sound the best? They will both look the same,i thought that peco sounded tacky to be honest. but im not sure. i want it to be fairly quiet when idling, but asi get to high revs, i want the exhaust to make a lod powerfull sexual noise.

if it lasts u 2 years, super dooper, if it don't...get it replaced!

or u could fuck the zorst up 1 month before the warranty runs out, then they'll replace it and you'll have a zorst for another 2 years...

probably wont work, it is just a cunning idea of mine Mr VaDo
