Sorted my new Head out today:

Its a 1.3 head thats been skimmed, had a bit of polishing done, new valves, stem seals etc. Basically Fully Rebuilt with a bit extra. :D

Might encourage me to clean the rest of my engine up too.

Can anyone who has put a 1.3 head on a 1.4 before tell me what the gains are like please?

Got a few more little bits and pieces in mind, maybe a more lairy cam, and maybe a set of carb's.

Just got to sell all my old stuff to get the money together first... :?

nice and clean. will take a while before you get best gains from it though as its got to coke up.



thats barely been skimmed lol, you know youve had a serious skim when the sparkplug bit has been flattened ;)

Skimming too much isnt a good idea tho!

Looking good mate, get yourself some 40's and a nice cam now :D

Its only a had a skim to make it sit flush i think...

I didnt want to get that one skimmed too much because of the CR.

T40s are arranged. :twisted: and cam is in the back of my mind.

Will I see great gains from a 275 to a 285?

yawn

the reason i havent gone for an XE is cause i wanted sumthing different hopefully i will achieve that, 90% of novas at PVS had a LET or XE, once u have seen one thats not a lot more to look at really........
