Does anyone know of any links or info that will detail what parts are required to do a 2ltr 16v conversion. Also general idea on whats involved? It will be based on a 1400sr Mk1, I have some ideas but don't want to miss anything. Used the site search facility but got no results...
Cheers.

You'll need a the pump with the bracket and regulator from a nova injection, modified shafts, engine mount kit unless you dropping the nova mount.
You'll need to make a box section in the inner wing so that the alternator doesn't catch.
put some spacers in between the tie bars and the anti roll bar or it'll hit the manifold.
the rear nova mount wil probably need modifying, depends on which kit your using!
On the f20/f16 box's there is a notch off metal on the bottom that needs to be cut off or it will hit the tie bars when your moving!
The gear linkage is easy, just turn the white nylon bush 180 deg. the line it up the normal way!
Might be a good idea to push your radiator towards the grill a little or its gona get hot near that manifold!
On the front gear box mount(nova) you'll notice that the bolt going through the rubber has some thread sticking out even when the nut is on, This might start rubbing off your f20/f16 box so before you put it in I would cut off the excess thread laevivg enough for the bolt!
Make sure you get the alternator pulley ground down so that the powered steering wheel is no longer there or it'll hit yor inner wing!

I'm trying to think of more, If you get stuck give me a shout and I'll help you out. :D

Thanks for the reply David - very helpfull - I think there may be other things like getting the engine bay seam welded and also I will have to get a driveshaft kit to suit the nova, where can i get this from?

I woul say go for the cossvaux kit seems the best and fairly cheap (01142435010)
Or try PVD thay aren't to badly priced either. (01604797960)

Oh yaeh one more thing, the sfi box is a bit to big to fit behind the bulk head so you'll need to either cut it about half an inch and plate it or buy a power cap what ever you do dont push back the bulk head like iv seen some on some shoddy workmanship. :D

if you can get hold of a set you can use nova gte shafts. you need to check and make sure they are the right ones though. to do this remove the inner cv joint and count the number of splines on the shaft. if theres 22 you're onto a winner. then go to your local Part Co dealer and order inner cv joint part number TDL3051R. Put these on your gte shafts and you have valver shafts

i heard these shafts aint too reliable tho what do you rekon also how likely is it that you will find 22 spline shafts have all gtes got em or is it just pot luck

cav mk2 1.6 inners with gte shafts (there are peeps using these on turbos so no problems on a 2.0 16v)

injection tank, lines and pump (gte/gsi/sri or 1.2i with uprated pump)
bend clutch cable hole
use early sfi box with square pattern (no need to cut)

mod rear mount and add 10mm of spacers

bash leg for alt clearance (easier, quicker and stronger than welding)

the one used in that conversion is a valvers.com set with tas rubbers

on my own i'm running the tas rubbers with an astra 16v alloy mount and custom rear
