Catches

I think I may have broken the welded bolt on the back of the boot slam pin. Its the one on the body, not the catch on the boot.

It was a pain to undo but when I did something just gave and it now spins eternally around. I've tried everything, WD40etc, Wrenching it etc. Does anyone know if theres a way to get to it? From what I can work out it involves cutting into the bodywork.

Need it changed as Ive replace all the other catches with chromed ones.

Can you not drill them out, and pop rivet a new one in

Thought of that but want to rule all 'damaging' things out first. The paintworks already chipped all round it.
