Unless obviously the engine has been swapped to a 1.6 out of a corsa or summit, then it would be a 1.6 nova that isn't a gsi or gte.
But obviously not a standard nova

i was asking for insurance purposes
realised i can have an 1.6 engine out of an astra and it will be cheaper than to say it is out a gsi or gte.

Why will it be cheaper than the gte or gsi, is the 1.6 from an astra lower performance.

Some companies insure engine swaps as if you were insuring the donor car - so in this case the astra. Depending on what astra it is, it may well be a lower insurance group, hence cheaper insurance.

E16SV (astra 1.6 small block same block as the E16SE nova gte/gsi in effect)

is insurance group 7

i know enough ppl who have done this for the obvious reason.

I insured my 1.2 sting with 1.4SR engine as a conversion 1.4L engine same engine as SR but insurance group 6 instead of 7
