Have you been writing letters to the Daily Mirror davo? Here is a copy of the letter for anyone that hasnt read it...
Dear Miriam..
I'VE always been proud of my body. The only thing wrong with it os that I'm very hairy.
So recently I shaved off all my hair, everywhere, although my friends told me only gay men do this.
For a while it looked very good then the hair started growing back and I soon became covered in an itchy, ugly pink rash.
How do i get the rash to go away? I like the effect of being shaved and I don't want to stop but I don't want to look pink and spotty either.
Thanks
Davo
Here's the answer from "Miriam"
Dear Davo,
DON'T shave again until the redness goes away. You risk infection if you shave while your skin's healing. You can see the hair on your body tends to grow in a certain direction. If you really must shave you body hair, and I wouldn't encourage it, minimise the damage to your skin by shaving in the direction of the hair growth, instead of against it.
Sportsmen who shave recommend doing it every day to avoid ingrown hairs. It is also a good idea to shave after lathering up with a good quality shaving gel and letting your body soak for a while in water.
If you have ingrown hairs they need to be gently released. Don't try digging them out with your nails. Instead use a loofah (natural sponge) on the ingrown areas in the shower. If it's any consilation, hair density decreases with ageing.
hmmmm davo dont you think it would be better going to your doctor rather than telling all the people who read the mirror!!! :O
