my nova jumps and misfires at 80mph and wont go ne faster can ne 1 give me some advice could it b timing

it cud b points and condeser if u have them it cud also b plugs,leads,cap or rotor arm or some or all of the above

cud b a bit of $hit in the carb jets of a blockage in the fuel lines or fuel filter possibly?

That wouldn't explain it only doin it at 80mph though :!:
Sorry i prob can't be any help but i don't think its your carb unless it does the same thing in every gear at the same revs?

if it was timing surely it'd do it all thru the rev range, and idle badly? Sounds like it could be carb icing, but is that possible in the current warm weather?

id say it is to do wiv the carb get yaself a can of carb cleaner take the air box off and spray the whole fookin thing

i had my car checked out and the timing was out by 3 notches it hits 120mph no problem now thanks for all ure advice

my sr did the same thing.there was a blocked hose goin from the fuel pump,and had a new thermostat coz it was running cold.it sorted mine mate.
