Hi how hard is it to do the swop (as above) what do i need to change?? or is it just a straight swop. Also if i do not want to use the injector then can i use the same wires in the 1.2?? Thanks

assuming the 1.2 is carb you'll need to install all the ecu and injection equipment (fuel pumps and suchlike). You might well find it easier to ditch the injection and fit a 32/34 or T40s...?

do webber carbs just bolt on?? or is there alot of work involved, sorry im fairly new to this sorta stuff. What will be the loss in BHP if i put a webber carb on it?

Pretty much, yeah. You'll need the carb, linkages (inc. an alternator bracket for the T40s) and the carbs themselves. 32/34 you can pick up 2nd hand for about ?30-80 (possibly even less from a scrappy!), T40s will set you back around ?200. Good idea to get it all set up at a RR afterwards to get them running good, saves doing it yourself and they'll know what they're doing.

As for power i'm not sure what you'd gain or lose if you swapped the MPi for a 32/34... altho i'd have thought T40s would be more powerful.

If you want to fit a 32/34 you will need a different inlet manifold, either a 1300sr or 1400sr. (1300sr is better), as i'm pretty sure you can't easily modify the sri one.

And in turn you will also either need to machine the ports on the manifold so they match to the head, or stick a 1400sr head on. (if u do this you will loose about 10bhp)

Best option is to fit T40's if you not going to use injection. and you will see around 90bhp fairly easily, especially if you de-cat.
