what else can i do that will give me a little more speed without spending stupid amounts of cash and emptying the juice after 10 miles :)?

to make it quicker fit bigger and better brakes and suspension, which will increase your time point to point.
also take everything out your car, less weight makes it quicker.

agreed with Ian...best way

most 'big' cars are quick in a straight line but shit aroundbends...thats when you leave them behind!

them mods you've done will give u about 78bhp i rekon...dont go thinking you'll get 85bhp or anything, remember, it's an old engine now and power decreases over time...

sorted

may be old but only done 44k :D dont worry im not expecting it to turn into a super charged valver :) im not that bad lol

definetly getting it lowered with stiffened suspension, be more like my mini then which takes corners no hassle, plus what brakes can i get easily and cheap to fit mine once i got 15" alloys on, astra, cav?!?

It all depends on the rolling road that you go to. In all honesty I don't think you'll be looking at much of increase from the standard engine. However, this figure will give you a bench mark on what performance gains you'll get in the future. Whatever you do, make sure you use the same rolling road, as going to different rollers will not give you an accurate increase in power.
