who would be up for it??

it will be at curborough sprint course just of the A38 near litchfield and burton upon trent ( and velos) http://www.curborough.co.uk/ it is a short track used for sprinting, so only 1 car on at a time, no danger of someone crashing in to you.

i went up there today to have a look and there was a tvr owners club there. all oldstuff (tr6/7's) apart from one newish one, a lotus carlton, and a few other cars. they were doing 3 laps each. i warm up, 1 timed and then a cool down lap. quickest time was 32 seconds dead. by a mg tf, it beat the lotus carlton.

it will be arond ?35 for a half day session(based on 15 cars). cheaper if more people come.

i don't know when it will be it depends on avaliability and how many people can attend what date's. but it will more than likely need to be midweek

here's the track, we would dol ap's around the right hand loop, ignoring the red and blue lines.

oooo, so u'll be ready for next year then ian? Not wanting you to give much away, but will it be bodykitted or more of a subtle approach?

Oh, and as for the track day, i'd be interested for next year 2 :D

Yep, would probably be up for that too, take the nova for one last proper blast before it gets sold :?

Benji: Is there anywhere round here where we could do a similar thing, but have more than one car on the track at a time? Bit of "friendly" racing!!

definately up for a day at curborough,as long as you can wait till august, my novas in pieces (again!). i did a test and tune day there back when i had a 1.3sr and i was the 3rd fastest car there, i only got beat by a westfield megabusa and a ?40k mini!!! the circuit is ideally suited to novas as they're light and chuckable. i recommend going to watch on sundays as its usually free and there are always awesome cars there.

Na.. look at the width of the track, not really enough room for overtaking and i bet its pretty annoying being stuck behind someone whos slower than you..

I used to be a member at curborough taking the nova down on tuesday nights for the open track time. I considered a track day there awhile ago.

For the ?35 each do they offer any staff with that now or will be marshalled by our self's?

As oli said before its a great track for novas though alittle short, it is a sprint track after all. Its kind of like doing the quarter mile with a few bends in, great fun while it lasts.

Would be well up for it mate and if you need any help or info let me know as i still know a few of the long term members there.

when i went down the club that had hired it were the only ones there, no marshalls or anything.

what's this about tuesday nights?? do you need a race licence for that?

you beat my injured nova at the pod that i admit  , but do you really think you can challenge my rejuvenated, lighter, stiffer, more powerful beast at home on the sprint track!?! i'll crush you,
