Hi All, :D

Just question, The Haynes manual Compression Test Spec Is (10.5:1)
But my compression tester (Hi-Gauge) only reads (Psi - Bar - and kg/cm2)

So anyone with converting skills or tell me the correct (Psi) etc is, For this engine??

Many thanks if you can help as im not that good at some figures lol.
Thanks

Ant.

right due to many many many factors that i cant be arsed to explain the compression of an engine cant be easily worked out from the compression tester

all you do is take all plugs out, fit tester have someone hold the throttle open and crank it.

provided its approx 150psi+ and provided the number i fairly consistent over all 4 its fine.

Cheers mate, I did the test before i put the post up and the results were

From left to right (120 / 200 / 190 / 200

The first one is a bit low so ill be gettin busy and dirty lol.
Dont mind gettin dirty as im a mechanic but figures aunt my thing.

Looks like head off and check valves then sump off to check rings

Ill do a 3rd test and have the accelerator down.
Thanks again,

Ant.
