View Full Version : What does lowering the tie bar do?
As the subject says-will it lower the back of the car further or just improve handling?
Isn't the tie bar the rod like things that attatch to the bolts that hold the bottom ball joints and tie bar to swingarm. Also bolted to it is the antiroll bar.
If they are then the answer to your question is that they become lower 30 - 40mm so that the exhaust on a valver (or big block lump) doesn't foul the antiroll bar or box or things.

its just anti dive
ill let rick anser this as every time i answer i "apparently " get it wrong, even when quoting mr draper form previous attempts lol
but yes the main jist is anti dive. and you can also use them to setup a base castor setting (but its a bit of a guesstimate lol)
and if you get the protec ones, they are a nice shiny blue, and you have to make a slieve to fill the gap between the bearing and tie bar.
